We are pleased to launch an exciting new offering to support Churches in their mission and outreach with young people.

Our Ministry Team, which we were able to create following the funding received from the Uniformed Youth Fund, alongside our Christian Faith Group have been reflecting on ways in which we can help support the Faith Journey of young people (see pages 6-10) especially at the Encounter and Expand stages.

Launching in Spring 2024, Spaces is: 

• A new BB offering for young people (boys and girls) aged 10+ with a space (group) where they can explore the Christian faith, encounter Jesus and be challenged to put their faith into action. 

• A space where everyone is welcomed and valued and where young people can engage with the big questions of life in a fun and caring environment. 

• A ministry of The Boys’ Brigade, it is fully aligned to our Vision, Mission and Values and will operate under our safeguarding procedures, guidance and policies.

Spaces has been created to be complementary to our existing model (the ‘BB Company’) and other than the faith element it doesn’t overlap with anything within our existing programme, focusing on faith rather than on a range of programme of activities, awards etc. Spaces groups could be set up in both Churches with existing BB Companies (to help provide a next step on the faith journey) and in Churches who currently have no relationship with the BB, opening the door for an ongoing relationship and potentially starting a BB Company.
