Members of 12th Bromley have been raising funds for Demelza Children’s Hospice, with a cheque for £1,520 being presented to a representative of the hospice at the Company’s Presentation of Awards.
Young people and leaders from across the country had the opportunity to attend two Trooping the Colour events in Central London: the Colonel’s Review in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales as well as HM The King’s Birthday Parade, both from a special viewing area for members of uniformed youth organisations.
Using money raised from their Coffee Morning and Display Night, Company age group members at 1st Rainford purchased donations for their local foodbank, with their Seniors then visiting to help pack and distribute the food to those in need.
Young people from six BB groups in Scotland enjoyed a week of sailing with the Ocean Youth Trust through our CashBack for Communities project.
Members of 1st Aghadowey, 1st Garvagh and 1st Kilrea formed a guard of honour for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh as he visited Garvagh to recognise the work of various community groups.
Glasgow Battalion held a Queen’s Badge Parade and Presentation at the City Chambers, which was attended by young people from their Battalion as well as those from other local Battalions who had attended their Completion Course. Also present were Jacqueline McLaren, Lord Provost of Glasgow, and Rev Stewart Cutler, our Brigade Chaplain.
